About the IIC
Promoting international understanding and collaboration through the arts.
Who we are
Italy International Center
Italy International Center (IIC) is an arts organization dedicated to curating traveling exhibitions that promote international understanding and collaboration. With our exhibitions we want to find commonalities in our visions, celebrate the richness of our diverse imaginations and invite all participants to collaborate in making the world a more connected and friendly place.
Founded by artists Joel Palombo and Anja Berg-Palombo, the IIC brings together creative people from across the globe — from Kazakhstan to Korea, from India to Canada — united by the belief that art is the most direct route to understanding one another.
What we do
Curating connections
Our exhibitions have traveled from Sarasota, Florida to the historic Palazzo Gallio in Alvito, Lazio, Italy. We work with artists, communities, and cultural institutions to create experiences that go beyond the gallery — inviting participation from anyone, anywhere in the world.
Our current projects include Postcards from Utopia, a traveling international exhibition of handmade postcards imagining a better world, and Storie d'Italia, a Celebration of Italian Heritage that gathers photographs, recipes, stories, and traditions from Italian descendants across the globe.
